Youth Group

Our youth group is compiled of 6th-12th graders and they meet in the teen room together for Bible Class.
Sunday Morning Bible Class is at 9:30 AM and includes breakfast and a devotional.
Wednesday Bible Class is at 7:15 PM and usually includes a devotional and activity.

Youth Small Groups - Sunday evenings at 6:30PM is a time to connect over food and fellowship, along with different activities planned on various occasions. These Small Groups are often hosted in different homes each week, so check out our bulletin to see where they'll be next.

Youth Bible Studies - Individual and group Bible studies are held upon request of the teens in order to best fit their schedules.

Church camp links can be found under the FORMS, CARDS & APPLICATIONS tab of our website.

Children's Ministry

Classes for all ages are offered Sunday Mornings at 9:30 AM & Wednesday Evenings at 7:15 PM.

From Ages 2 years-5th grade, on Sunday mornings, all classes are learning the same topic and Bible stories geared towards each of their age groups. These classes are challenged to learn three memory verses each quarter and receive a prize when they are able to say these verses to their teachers.

Our 3rd-5th grade students currently have an "Escape Room" class on Wednesday evenings themed around finding clues in the Bible that lead to learning the bigger picture God has for them in their lives.
They also have a service project they do together each month with their Sunday morning teacher. They've done trash pick up, artwork for the nursing home residents, and Blessing Boxes for college students.

Wednesday nights our 4-year-olds up through 2nd grade enjoy an activity class with a rotation of teachers who put together fun projects to help the kids to connect learn to solve problems together.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR CHRIST

Every year our 3rd-12th Graders are invited to participate in LTC (Leadership Training for Christ). We attend the Dallas convention on Easter weekend. Click here to view more info on the convention and rules.
There are some events that kids can participate in without having to attend the Dallas convention. However, if a child would like to be able to go to Dallas, they are required to sign up for 2 events and participate in the Bible Bowl.
Each family with kids involved get their 1st night hotel stay paid for, and all meals are provided.
A sign up sheet is usually posted in the fellowship hall in November, and a schedule of practices and times to meet with coaches is put out the following January each year.
Some events the kids are able to get involved in include: drama, puppets, poetry, story writing, film making, song leading, speech, signing for the Deaf, art, children's book, photography, etc.

The congregation is also invited to study up on the same material as the LTC kids, and the Adults and Kids challenge each other to a "Bible Bowl Duel" the Sunday evening before Easter Weekend.

LTC Presentations & Performances will be done in front of the congregation the Wednesday before Easter weekend.

Camps & Retreats
Encounter
9th-12th Students (those coming out of 8th through the recent graduates)
Located at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.
Encounter is a summer camp you won’t want to miss! Brimming with activity and energy, at Encounter you will be encouraged to explore and express your faith in an unfailing God. The spiritually-focused atmosphere creates a week full of moments where you will encounter God and develop a more personal relationship with Christ.

Central Texas Christian Camp (CTCC)
CTCC is the main camp attended by our congregation, and is located in Marble Falls at Camp Hensel. We have several members who work there as staff, as well as a large majority of our youth group who attends. This camp is for 4th-12th graders.
Are you looking for a place to take your youth group to camp? Central Texas Christian Camp is the place you need to be.  We strive to help you grow the mind, heart, and soul of all our campers. While your youth are here they will be cared for by several staff members from Churches of Christ all over Texas. If you have an interest in coming and being a part of the week please let us know by filling out a staff application.

Trimester Retreats
Several youth ministers from CTCC get together throughout the year to host mini-retreats for their youth groups to come together on a Saturday & Sunday to encourage one another and spur one another on in the faith. The main churches who host are Alvarado Church of Christ, Franklin Church of Christ, and Lampasas Church of Christ. A few other churches have hosted as well. Details on location and dates can be found in the bulletin when those plans are made.
